What happens when God says “wait”?
Whether it’s marriage, children, careers, or something maybe more urgent, sometimes God appears to say “no” to our desires. Why and how should we handle the stall?
In this 3 week series, let’s examine those questions together.
For years, I waited to meet my husband. Friends all around me had married. Some had children, and yet Mr. Right hadn’t walked into my life. I had several options at that time. I could grow bitter, or I could seek contentment. The longer I waited, the harder this became. But I held to a belief that carried me steadfast through those years–God is sovereign.
Many plans are in a man’s heart, But the counsel of the LORD will stand.
Proverbs 19:21
Knowing that God remained fully in control, gave me peace in those present conditions. It can bring peace to your life too.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Psalm 136:1
See, God is good. Whatever desire has stalled in your life, God remains in control. Because of His character, trust Him.
