But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.
1 Peter 3:13
Over the past two weeks, we’ve discussed the remedies to absentee joy in our lives. Today, we’re discussing the reason we hope.
See, many of us, truly desire a life of joy. We often, however, settle for less.
Check out these everyday examples.
Do you ever join in with complaints from co-workers? Or wish Monday away? Maybe you poked fun of someone behind their back? Or grumbled about your spouse?
That’s not how a true Christian is called to live. Why do we settle, when we’re called to represent Christ? Inexplicable love should shine through us.
Joy matters. The world needs our light. We reflect the one reason worth living. If God has redeemed you, then how does that show up in your life?
We’ve discussed two primary joy remedies.
1.) Love God.
2.) Obey God.
Our final joy remedy is simple, but perhaps, the most profound. Friends, God loves and desires a relationship with you. Do you truly have one with Him?
That’s the ultimate joy remedy…
Yours in hope,
