Over the past several weeks, we’ve discussed feelings of loneliness and isolation in our lives. In the first week of our series, we talked about how God promises to be with us. Last week, we discovered how Jesus fulfilled that promise, and today, let’s find avenues by which to rid ourselves of loneliness for good.
This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
1 John 5:14
When you’re lonely, take the feeling to God through prayer. God wants conversation with us. Let Him satisfy the emptiness inside you.
Opening his mouth, Peter said:
“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.
Acts 10: 34-35
God loves you. He created you with the attributes and characteristics you carry. Thankfully, in God’s kingdom there are no popularity contests. You are valuable, priceless, treasured. Pursue His glory, for in Him we are all equal.
Finally, have confidence as His child. You are a daughter of the Creator of this world. He owns everything about you. Whether those you encounter acknowledge Him, or deny Him, He is the Creator. That doesn’t change, so as His child we can live with boldness.
Fight the good fight, finish the race, keep the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).
