“For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
This verse reminds me of God’s character. Before I met my husband, I clung to it, as a promise. I didn’t understand God’s plans, but I knew His character.
This is my 2nd anniversary. Now that I’m married, I still cling to this verse. Life seems to get more complicated. As a child, I could plan the future. But as an adult, the future is sometimes hard to even fathom.
I know there will be times I don’t understand God’s plan. When those days come, I’ll lean on this verse again. God has a hope and a future for me.
And now, Lord for what do I wait? My hope is in You.
Psalm 39:7
If life’s taking you through some difficulty right now, allow your hope to be in God. He promises to provide for your every need. And wherever life takes His followers, He dwells with them.
