Tuesday's Thought

Holding Sparrows

But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.

Isaish 43:1-2

The day I walked into kindergarten, my mom, told me I could pray to God anywhere. Later in my school years, my dad said God owns everything you encounter each day.

Those memories changed my attitude towards life and people. As God’s child, we know someday every knee will bow. The Bible doesn’t promise an easy life in the meantime, but we know someday there will be justice. We also know God walks with us through whatever we face.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16

As you approach work or life this week, turn towards God. The Bible discusses a Creator who cares even for the sparrows. How much more does He care about us? Sometimes we place God on a back-burner, but He is our best defense against life’s struggles. Turn toward Him this week.
