When its limbs are dry, they are broken off;
Women come and make a fire of them,
For they are not a people of discernment,
Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them.
And their Creator will not be gracious to them.
Isaiah 27:10
The Bible often discusses people without discernment. In other translations, this verse says “without understanding” or “no consideration”. We don’t tend to be wise on our own. But when God chooses us, we gain a level of wisdom beyond ourselves.
Isaiah 55:8 states:
God’s thoughts are not ours.
God chooses to use people the world would describe as foolish (1 Corinthians 1:26-27). He takes our legacy and transforms it. Before Him, we were dead in sin. Hopeless. But through Him, we gain discernment and purpose. This is the mark of our life as Christians. Find hope and satisfaction is His calling. Boast in who He has made you to be (1 Corinthians 1:31).
Perfect timing. Thankyou 😊
