Something that I’ve talked a lot about with the 8th grade girls is personal devotions. It’s a commitement, and if you’re a Christian, spending time with God is crucial. Don’t take it lightly. Step up and put in the effort to get to know God. As you read John, make connections with the Old Testament. For example, the girls and I have talked about how Jesus existed long before His birth. We’ve discussed Abraham, Moses, the burning bush, sacrifices, and Israel. Putting together the whole story will help you have a better understanding of why Jesus came and God’s plan through history. It’s amazing when you start considering it, and I hope you’ll join with me and these girls on this incredible journey. Have a great week!
Shout out to Jerome today. He is waiting for a family. If you know someone considering adoption please refer them to Holt International’s waiting children. http://www.holtinternational.org/china/standard.php?region=China
